Your penchant for wishful thinking is simply overwhelming, Gus-ano.
IDCC has TDMA and CDMA IPRs, in FDD and TDD.
Gussie-boy, ERICY has a different opinion about those categorical statements you've made. A serious company that has a record of settling genuine patent disputes is fighting IDCC. Motorola also fought it and won. I've seen your un-Stoic whining and moaning about how the jury didn't do the right thing, how things might be different if IDCC had another chance, yada, yada, yada, and so forth. The bottom line is that IDCC lost after a fair fight. The historical record is not good.
FDD and TDD? May I remind you about your statements concerning niche technologies and component parts shortages?
There's a reason why this company is not an overwhelming success, not a part of the S&P 500, doesn't have $2bn in cash, and relies on litigation (thus far unsuccessfully) for its prospects. Could it be that its patents just don't cut it? Or, even if they are valid and enforceable, IDCC is run by nitwits who are clueless?
If you don't think that IDCC's relationship with Nokia is anything except a cheap stalking horse in Nokia's dealings with the Q, then you need to engage in some serious reality-testing.
Take away the Nokia income and the ERICY litigation prospects, and how much meat is left on IDCC's bones, Gussie? Should those go away (and you know that Q and Nokia will eventually deal), you might as well tear up your lottery tickets. The litigation prospects are admittedly uncertain. That is the only reason I'm buying a very few of those tickets.
I'm sure you know that Gregg Powers had Q's patents checked out at a substantial expense as part of his investigation of the Q's prospects. If WCDMA is a different animal, it doesn't appear that Dr. J agrees with you. You're now suggesting that your analysis (and Renntech's, you know, the guy who can't count past 18) is more trenchant than that made by Dr. J. and Gregg's patent lawyers? LOL
Get out of the trees, Gussie, put down your poison pen, and take a good hard look at the forest. |
