And does this manager you claim to know (I'm always wary of your claims!) actually know anything about gold stocks? Most managers don't have a clue about gold or gold stock - investing in them is like betraying their mothers! And this attitude, from way back I might add, is reflected by the number of US brokerages who actually have anyone who covers gold. We need to hear from the smart cookies who are doing their homework and actually investing in selected gold stocks when they are out of fashion
