In the 90's this stock was priced for perfect execution. There is some doubt about growth rates now due to COVD announcement. I can't remember the customer break down for CMTN.

"Most stocks traded in narrow ranges. One big mover: Covad Communications (COVD)considered the leading independent supplier of so-called DSL, or high-speed, Internet service over regular phone lines

The company reduced estimates for the growth of new customer lines added, raising concerns about whether it can meet current revenue targets. That prompted shares to tumble 6 3/4, or 27 percent, to 18 1/2, a new alltime low."

10:08 ET DSL Stocks : Warning by Covad Comms (COVD 18 1/2 -6 3/4) of slower line growth is putting pressure on the entire DSL access group: Rhythms NetConnections (RTHM 16 1/16 -2 7/16) and NorthPoint Communications (NPNT 13 1/8 -1 1/8)... The concerns are flowing over to the suppliers of equipment to the DSL service providers: Copper Mountain (CMTN 85 -8), Paradyne (PDYN 30 9/16 -2 1/16) and Netopia (NTPA 34 1/4 -4 1/16).
