Nurun VP Recognized With SCOAP Award in Ottawa

OTTAWA, ONTARIO-- JUNE 16, 2000

E-business retail expert, Nathan Rudyk, receives SCOAP Fellowship
Award

nurun Inc., a subsidiary of the Quebecor Inc. group, announced
today that Nathan Rudyk, Vice President of Retail at nurun was
honoured yesterday evening at the 2000 SCOAP Fellowship Awards
Dinner in Ottawa. Mr. Rudyk received the Fellowship Award in
recognition of his efforts toward the achievement of the aims and
values of SCOAP in the National Capital region.

Formerly known as the Society of Canadian Office Automation
Professionals and formed in 1981, SCOAP is dedicated to
facilitating dialogue on issues related to the use, management and
impact of information and technology on individuals,
knowledge-based organizations and Canadian society at large.

"Nathan has supported SCOAP, its aims and values by participating
on committees, giving talks and providing advice and guidance to
the development of major awards and knowledge networking practices
in Canada's National Capital region," said Gregory Evanik,
President of SCOAP. "It's participation like Nathan's that has
helped SCOAP over the past decade become one of Canada's premier
centres of expertise for assessing major changes of technology and
for recognizing expertise of Canadians in leading the way to
achieving the benefits of the emerging knowledge-based society."

"We are very proud to have one of our executive managers
recoqnized for his contribution to the development and
understanding of information technology in society," said Jacques
Malo, President and CEO of nurun Inc. "Innovation and the ability
to deliver results with information technology are key values of
our company and we are excited to have a leader like Nathan
recognized by an organization that shares these same values."

In addition to being a member of nurun's senior management team,
Nathan is a columnist at CBC Radio in Ottawa, a contributing
author to "Marketing Masters: The Best Ideas, Tips & Strategies
from Canada's Savviest Marketers", a technology marketing lecturer
at Algonquin College and a frequent speaker at Internet marketing
and technology conferences.

At the awards dinner, Mr. Rudyk made a presentation entitled,
"Dis-Intermediation or Bricks and Mortar: What's Really Dead?"
His presentation explained that the future of digital services
delivery is a multi-channel universe, including the Web, wireless
devices, kiosks, printed material, call centres and brick and
mortar channels. In Nathan's words, re-inventing services
delivery along digital lines is all about 21st century
knowledge-based re-intermediation and not 20th century
dis-intermediation.
