Scumbria - RE: "I find the Toshiba deal to be rather suspicious. Why would Toshiba agree to pay before the current lawsuits are resolved? There must be some incentives from Rambus (like stock maybe?) ;^)"

Hmm, RamBUST execs announce 4 for 1 stock split after stock rockets for a few days on news coming from Intel's Forum. Then, on day of split, the execs announce Toshiba deal. Looks like they want to boost the stock price.

Also, MSDW analyst Mark Edelstone comes out with positive report after Intel's Forum. Today, MSDW upgrades to strong buy from outperform. MSDW was the lead underwriter of RMBS. Because of this, they definitely have reason to boost the stock price since they probably have options, or warrants, or whatever to a bunch of stock.

But this is just coincidence, right? After all, DRDRAM is the ultimate technology.
