That inevitable WCDMA lawsuit you spoke of might not be all that bad. On it's surface it would hurt both Nokia and Qualcomm, but while that particular battle raged CDMA 2000 would continue to gain marketshare, getting further and further ahead both technologically and psycologically, a net win for Qualcomm. With that in mind, it might actually be cheaper for Nokia to just licence Q's ASICS and be done with it.
