Well, let's count the ways... A: the purchase was above the stock price. (Not exactly a give-away, heh). B: The board of directors voted for the deal. C: Gatefield was very likely looking at some sort of Chapter X, leaving Bond holders with little and Stock Holders with Nada without the deal. HOW CAN THIS BE A GIVEAWAY! It seems more like a rescue to me. Actel rescued Gate because of ProAsic (not the company). But the stock is for the company, not the technology.
