Richard,

You just don't get it yet! SDRAM, DDR, RDRAM and DRDRAM are all dram technologies that Rambus holds patents on. This being true, whether or not they win their lawsuit they still hold the patents, so why would they waste their time on RDRAM or DRDRAM if SDRAM and DDR is so much better? They aren't better that is why Rambus put SDRAM and DDR aside because they believed that RDRAM and DRDRAM offered the better technology as well as the keys to a brighter future for Rambus. It is Rambus that was 100% correct and Carl was, is, and will continue to be wrong and will continue to claim the same thing when Rambus stock price reaches 500$.

So what you are saying is that Rambus invented SDRAM, but they found it boring and decided to do something better. In the mean time they were so bored with their SDRAM invention that they didn't bother to collect royalties on it.

Recently something changed and they decided that they did want to collect royalties on their SDRAM invention, after all..

When the stock price reaches $500, that will prove that DRDRAM is a better technology. Did I summarize your interpretation correctly?
