<<For Qualcomm, like so many technology stocks, the unraveling of months of stock market hype has proved painful. .......... "But the hype has gotten a little carried away...........fears about slowing chip sales, uncertain expansion into China, and the downturn in the broader markets have clipped Qualcomm's wings >>
Thanks for or a relevant post/link from you, Gus (yes, yes, I know Gus can be real mean and annoying too at times. But in the anti-NOK and pro-Q atmosphere ruthlessly and repeatedly exposed on this thread, his reactions can sometimes be understood). Although the post in the first hand concerns QCOM, it does have a general significance for this thread. Also as balancing the Q-propaganda and the anti-NOK and anti-Europe propaganda from some people at the Nokia thread. Examples of the latter below posted by "JohnG", et al.:
<<....how many K do you get where you live??>> (post 5488) <<But I guess you don't know much about free markets---just nordick European monopoly markets.>> (post 5486) <<Did you hear that all the Finnish made engine castings for the Porshe Boxter were defective and had to be replaced at great expense and embarassment to the car maker...>> (5485)
Highly relevant posts on a thread for telecom investors.. eh? And yes, the Europeans may bee a little odd viewed at from your angle; I mean: Europeans may not really understand the joy and pride exposed by some on the list when trying to convince others how much money they have, and how rich they are compared to others. I think that kind of behavior simply does not impress - that's all, sorry.
Why embarrass yourself in such a manner, JohnG? Is it the overthrow in QCOM stockprice that creates your increasing hysteria? Or the fear of not becoming enough rich? Or even worse: the fear of someone else becoming richer than you?
Just wondering......, Joar
