First, there is a moral "should", and a legal "should". There are plenty of things you have the right to say that you should not. Second, government spaces belong to the public, through those authorities duly constituted. It is perfectly legitimate to take into account the wishes of a substantial portion of the citizenry in eliminating offense plaques. Third, prayer in school is a separate, and complicated issue. It is reasonable to ban it in morning exercises, not so reasonable to ban it in commencement exercises, and unreasonable to ban it when under the auspices of a club meeting outside school hours............
