Thurston, Nice 3 wood on 18 for Jack. Exit with grace, and we should expect no less from him. Yes and Jack showed a rare and goofy sense of humor that I'm sure was meant to cover up his emotions of the moment. Woods has a ways to go to match that mans class and dignity, and had a (IMO minor) set-back at the 18th this morning. Also Tom Watson, runner up or maybe first in class and dignity, showed his respect for Jack. I had the opportunity to sit next to Mr. Watson on a flight from Chicago to KC. A genuine nice guy, no pretense, so down to earth I could have been talking with the guy that lives next door. He told me he loves the game and his is the best life anyone could have. But it sure looks like it's Tiger time, at least this weekend. VJ (IMO) is one of those "some other good players" who deserve credit, his head seldom gets in the way of his swing. John (as for me, my game sucked this AM (one skin), maybe better tomorrow)
