Good Post. Thanks for the info. Gold Fields International has been looking for North American properties since at least a year ago, (probably longer). It appears that this merger will be a win win situation for both FN and GOLD. According to Yahoo. Newmont has a PE of 186, PDG 39, ABX 24. Maybe now that GOLD will be a Canadian company, the price will go up to reflect a PE in line with other North American Co's. B Hamilton
