Just like the analysts predicted on the crash of the Korean Won that Korea would dry up as a handset market. It did just the opposite. Everyone went right out and bought a handset duringthe downtunr and ensuing layoffs. Seems that everyone soon found out that the person who was most readilu available was the one who got the job and everyone had to have a phone. I was working over there at the time and experienced it first hand.
