Hello Jimmy

Just a quick follow-up to my earlier post.

Firstly, I found this on out Australian play which is interesting:

Caldera Resources Inc.
6/8/00 - Caldera/Southernera Resources Joint Venture Project
CALDERA RESOURCES INC ("CDR-TM;CAEFF-L") SOUTHERNERA RESOURCES LTD ("SUF-T;SOARF-L") - Caldera/Southernera Resources Joint Venture Project - Completed
Caldera Resources Inc. is pleased to announce that a preliminary percussion drilling programme has been completed on the SouthernEra Resources Limited diamond joint-venture project located in Western Australia. A small number of potential targets were drilled as a first phase of an ongoing exploration programme.

Approximately two tonnes of samples have been recovered for examination and selected samples will be processed and observed for kimberlite indicator minerals in conjunction with geo-chemical analyses. A further field trip is planned for this month when specific targets will be gridded prior to additional drilling taking place. This may also involve ground magnetometer surveys to better delineate the targets which warrant further investigation.

Caldera is engaged in diamond exploration in Australia through seven projects. The Company has four projects located in the Pilbara region of northeastern Western Australia, and two projects located in northern South Australia, which are known as the Abminga Projects. In addition to the joint venture in Western Australia with SouthernEra, Caldera has two joint ventures with Stockdale Prospecting Limited, the Australian subsidiary of DeBeers, on two of its Western Australian projects, the Gunanya Exploration Area and the Tabletop East project.

Also, we had our Midnight Sun (Summer Solstice) festival up here Friday which coincided with the annual Mining Week promotion.

I was chatting with the fellows from Diavik over a map of their claims and pipes and some of their latest core from a pipe they have known about for some time but just recently drilled. The reason I mention it is that what I saw touches on a few points I made in a recent post.

Firstly, this new pipe T-4 (in 20 meters of Lac de Gras water) extends the northeast southwest trend of Diavik diamondiferous pipes towards our southwest Lac de Gras claims.

Secondly, it is huge by NWT standards and would easily swallow all of Diavik's 5 economic pipes and have plenty of room to spare. From what was shown (if accurate) on the map, I would suggest that the pipe is larger than MPV's 5024. Now the down-side for Diavik, is that it is in deeper water making open pit mining (probably) out of the question, but it is close enough to a very large island to make underground mining feasible should it prove sufficiently diamondiferous, (drill cores are in for testing now).

What I found particularly fascinating however, was that the extensive core on display showed no apparent evidence of chrome diopsides, few even small pyropes, a few eclogitic garnets, abundant apparent chromites, but extremely abundent, large and transparent olivines. So many olivines as a matter of fact that any geochemical train down ice from this pipe must look like it is made of olivines (if there were one - under the lake).

I seem to recall that a number of our Yamba geochemical samples were very rich in olivines and I certainly would love to see a pipe the size of the T-4 under one of our lakes. It is huge and definitely a mine maker (if it could ever be open pitted).

Just thought you might find that interesting.

Regards
