Somebody mentioned on this thread that last they heard from Monica she indicated she felt she had food poisoning, she was really under the weather. This probably has nothing to do with her case, but when I was discussing the matter with a friend of mine he said he knew of someone who had the same symptoms, seemingly out of no where, and when they did a history on everything the man ate, they discovered he had eaten clams, and they went back to the restaurant who served the clams and he had had several complaints from the health department sure enough they isolated what it was and the man lives today. Sadly he is blind, but he lives a full life. It seems that clams and other true shellfish (oysters, mussels, winkles)can carry a disease that is potentially fatal to humans. More than just food poisoing from unfresh fish. So I am trying to get in touch with this man and see exactly what happened and how they treated it.
Probably not the same thing, but anything is possible now.
When I spoke to Claudia she said Monica had had pneumonia and never was 100% afterwards. And that with the incredible stress she has been under lately, she just feels that she picked up some virus and her immune system was so low she just couldn't fight it at all. Now perhaps that's the case, though it is hard to believe she would be this intensely sick. Recently I got shingles, when chicken pox was running round the kids school, and I was very stressed and not at my best which is why I got so sick and the kids didn't even get chicken pox.
Anyway I am praying for her and will re attempt to visit her hopefully today. It appears they were doing treatments to her which is why I wasn't allowed to see her. |
