She was taking Percoden for the sinus pain....

That might account for why she thought she was feeling better on the Thursday. Percodan is strong stuff, and could mask symptoms. If you're sick enough to feel you need Percodan, you should see a doctor.

I'm not being judgmental; I'd probably do the same thing. I previously wrote a long message about how those of us who live alone tend not to take illnesses seriously, and how we tend to indulge in, perhaps, too much self-medication, but when I submitted it, SI ate it, and for some reason hitting the "back" key didn't work.

I did mean to add, though, that she might have been taking aspirin for her headache. If she were bleeding internally and didn't realize it, that would have exacerbated the problem considerably.

Someone should check to see what other drugs she may have been using. I know it's stupid, but when I'm sick I open the medicine cabinet and take pretty much anything that's on hand, in the hope that it'll work.
