Larry, it's not a matter of liking or disliking technical analysis, as opposed to fundamental analysis. It's more about what either method of analysis can teach investors about the company, its stock performance, and when to buy or sell. Many who participate in these discussions have a long term outlook, and therefore, they are more likely to be persuaded by long term factors, which TA does not address very well.
