Saw your "cool post" status, rudedog. Congratulations.

I believe you are severely underestimating the threat that SUNW perceives from storage companies other than IBM and CPQ. EMC is growing over 30% per year and NTAP is growing over 100% per year. Much of this growth, especially from NTAP, is at the expense of SUNW. While the percentage of sales that NTAP is eroding from SUNW is small potatoes, at a growth rate of 100%, it won't take long for it to be very significant.

If you watched SUNW's T3 storage webcast, you would have seen that it was EMC and NTAP that were compared for price/performance. I believe that may indicate who SUNW believes to be the real competitors in this space.

Just my opinion.
