Re: gulton for punishment !! It was pre-split, so those puts are wayyyy under water right now. I was out-of-town for a meeting Friday, and caught the news from a TV in the hotel lobby as I was walking out the door - not the happiest way to start the day. The meetings went well, at least. But January is still quite a ways away, so I think I'll just sit on them for awhile. All I can do is to look at the technology - where I really think rambus is overrated by the market. I can't predict bad legal decisions (and Toshiba's decision was based upon legal thinking, not technical thinking) - so I always face that risk. Zeev's technical analysis, and my broker's - which I ignored :-( must have picked up some of this announcement from "unofficial" insider trades. But I invest in tech issues both to make money and for fun, so I have to go with my fundamental analysis or I can't enjoy the game. Congratulations on your earnings! I hope to recoup my losses in some dip between now and January (they represent only a small part of my trading account). Meanwhile, holding a bunch of puts (now very cheap) are a hedge against a sudden tech collapse. And those legal decisions can go the other way, too. Dan PS - I bet you meant glutton :-)
