Welcome, Marcie. As friends -- some very good friends -- of your Aunt we are gratified that you and your mother were able to come up to be with her.

We will look forward eagerly to whatever news you can give us. At the same time, keep in mind that your aunt's needs, your needs, and your mother's needs come first, so don't feel an obligation to spend time here you need to be spending with your mother or at the hospital.

I will be grateful to hear your comments as to how your aunt (seems silly for those of us who know her real name to call her Edwarda to you, but she didn't want her real name used on SI, so I settle on "your aunt") is, and whether there is anything else that her friends here can do. I'm on the west coast, so feel helpless to do much except pray for her.

Our love and concern automatically go out to you as somebody who is precious to Edwarda.
