Routers -- how to pronounce ...

I was taught that the 'root' pronunciation refers to a path or circuit; hence, 'root' applies to CSCO products. Also paper and postal routes.

On the other hand, 'rrr-out' refers to removal; hence, 'rrr-out' applies to the Craftsman and Porter-Cable routers, which remove wood. Also, the removal of incumbents from office is called a (rrr-out) route at times.

Then again, I'm Canadian, and we use a unique blend of British and American English spelling, pronunciation, and idioms.

Cheers, PW.
