"So the short answer is schools AREN'T buying desktop OSs. You're stuck in a 10 year old rhetoric that doesn't match up to present day reality" - JCJ

I just helped install 50 new PC's with Win2k at my kids elementary school this year. Other elementry schools in the district have done the same. Next year we are scheduled to to do the upgrades at the Junior high.
The biggest feature that convinced the district to start the upgrades? The remote admin ablilities of Win2k.
The Mac's have been donated to charity.
