Golf is at a serious crossroads right now. There is one player so far ahead of the rest of the pros, it actually makes for rather boring golf to me. I watched with only a half interest as Tiger humiliated the field and a tough course without even so much as being challenged. He made the incredible seem very ordinary. Somebody better pick up their game quick or golf may not be worth watching for the next few years unless Tiger gets a bad case of the yips. Well done Tiger. Sure, players can get into a funk (Sutton, Duval, Faldo) as quick as they are called the next Nicklaus, but Tiger has a drive in him to win I only see in a few other professional athletes. He's not in it for the money, it's all about the hardware.
