Discipline can be hard, but it is necessary. YUK indeed! I beat the rush and went to the crab house yesterday, although it was raining, and we could not sit by the river. The soft shell crabs were exquisite! Nevertheless, I was on this site most of the day yesterday. I took a bit more time off today, but there was another thunderstorm, and my wife made a wonderful dinner, fried chicken and mashed potatoes with pan gravy. Her mother's family was from central Missouri, and her grandmother taught her how to make some great pan gravy! My son was an angel, although partially for financial reasons, and did a boat load of chores this weekend. My wife and I spent some quality time. Thus, despite the strain of standing vigil for Edwarda, and a deep weariness, the weekend had some compensations...... |
