And why is AMD suddenly evaluating NEW COPPER processes and equipment from AMAT ?

Why would they need to do this if their existing process is "PROVEN" ?I>Sounds like their existing process isn't even useful !!!

Again where does it say that in the article? If not this article, then please provide the link where you got this info.

And AMD is aandonoing it, and having to re-develop their own Coper process for the 0.13 micron generation !!!

I am assuming that 'aanonoing' is actually abandoning. If so, please provide the link that says that.

Forget that.....your whole post is really stretching here...there's nothing in this article to indicate a problem. In fact, I think it is very typical of AMD's push to experiment and do research. After all, its why AMD had more approved patents last year than Intel. And its how the Athlon got developed.

Last year, I told you that you need to be spending more time dealing with Intel problems instead of trying to fabricate problems over here. I repeat my suggestion. This thread has done fine in your absense so has AMD and its stock.

A few weeks ago Elmer suggested on the Intel thread that shareholders write emails to Intel, indicating their concern. I think its an excellent idea. Intel needs your support and suggestions.....its a ship without a captain.
And as much as I would like to see present mgmt stay in place.....they have been great for AMD....eventually new blood will have to come in. You can make that happen.
