Snyder of course did not mention the $125m voucher Q got from the FCC for use in future spectrum auctions. While it is undoubtedly true that Q is not interested in purchasing spectrum, the voucher is fully assignable. In other words, it is probably something that can be sold at a slight discount, and therefore essentially pure profit. Has anyone tackled the issue of how a near $125m cash infusion will affect per share earnings in 2001? I bet it washes out to a considerable degree any effect a total failure of Globalstar might have on earnings, should such a total failure occur, which is unlikely.

What a nincompoop.
