BURLINGTON, Mass. -- iBasis Inc. (IBAS) signed an interconnection agreement with Sovintel, an alternative communications service provider in Russia.
In a press release Monday, iBasis said it will allow Sovintel to route Internet telephony and fax traffic over iBasis's international network.
In exchange, iBasis will terminate international Internet telephony traffic from its network on Sovintel's fiber optic digital network in Moscow and St. Peterburg.
