Stone Design Announces First Commercial App for Rhapsody and the Yellow Box
via "Macway"
Stone Design, a longtime leader in the NeXT/OpenStep marketplace, grabbed a slice of Apple history by becoming the first developer to announce the first commercial application for Rhapsody. Create HTML, a full-featured design, layout and drawing application, will run on Apple's new operating system, code named "Rhapsody," as well as on OpenStep for Windows95 and NT, MACH and SOLARIS.
Not a novice when it comes to being first -- Stone Design was the first developer to ship a product on NeXT Hardware in 1989 with the release of TextArt -- Stone Design's CEO, Andrew Stone, says his commitment to Rhapsody and OpenStep development is solid "like a rock." According to Stone, "Because we ported Create to OpenStep last year, it already runs well on INTEL, SPARC and Motorola architectures. This gave us the head start needed to be the first to market with a time-tested product. Create is a great boon to the new generation of Rhapsody developers."
