I can just see Janet Reno's U.S. Marshals with machine guns in hand breaking down my door to confiscate my precious notes of each weekend's Moneytalk programs to enforce a famous radio network's all encompassing perception of the meaning of copyright laws. Well, I'm going to lock them up in my safe deposit box - I refuse to give in! Taped or written notes and summary interpretations of radio programs, lectures or whatever rightfully belong to the preparer, not the speaker - that's only right because the note taker did all the work taking the notes and doing the summary. If the teachers, lecturers and radio show hosts don't want their "content" material to be public, they should keep their damned mouth zipped shut whether it be at lecture halls, on the radio or at public appearances! They can't have it both ways once they communicate the content material out in the public domain. They must take and accept responsibility for communicating the material to the public. Otherwise they are a bunch of "indian givers" (one who gives a gift and requests it back - no slur intended). There - I've said it, and I feel good about it! BTW, Kirk - Don't you dare cut and paste this post over to your website or I'll sue you for copyright infringement! P
