AWE to buy a CDMA network? Are these networks CDMA?

I believe these are TDMA (not CDMA) parts of the VOD & GTE systems. To get OK on merger VOD & GTE needed to shed some wireless properties. These are them. AWE is buying them because they fill in major holes in ATT network. So ATT now is more truly national. However, it is still using TDMA.

This will be a more head-to-head competition between the two largest systems in US, Verizon (CDMA) and AWE (TDMA). May the best technology win.<ggg>
