Hi UF,

<<While I feel saddened by the loss of some of our newer visitors, that's not necessarily a bad thing. Maybe it will reduce the number of posts about trading and Shiny Pebbles.>>

A relative newbie, still here, mostly lurking. Don't post much, but on tornado watch with that shiny pebble ELON. Waiting for the Enel deal to be finalized, for revenues to ramp, for more design wins. Meanwhile, I'm holding onto this shiny pebble, along with my gorillas and kings.

I include herein Ken Oshman's words from his letter accompanying the 10-Q I just received:

While not part of the activities of the first quarter, I could not close this letter without mentioning our recent announcement with Enel SpA, the largest publicly traded electric utility worldwide....Enel would provide digital electricity meters and a complete home networking infrastructure to over 27 million Italian households over a three-year period....This is a very important event for Echelon and for the entire LonWorks industry. A definitive agreement with Enel would provide the largest network infrastructure in the world for networking everyday devices -- in every home and building in Italy that has an electric meter. With that network infrastructure in place, we would expect a dramatic rate of growth of the market of intelligent LonWorks enabled devices and home appliances. We also expect this project to be a catalyst for the adoption of LONWorks networks among device manufacturers and utilities around the world.

Janet, who is at heart a LTB&Her.
