Earlie, re: i815 intro.
While the Intel i815 announcement today doesn't appear to be accompanied by industry announcements, a check of the Compaq and IBM sites indicates they are quietly transitioning to the i815. For example, the Compaq DeskPro EN series is now i815E based, replacing 440/820 chip sets. And all of the IBM PC300GL PC's now support PC133. IMO, Rambus' value hinges on the validity of their IP in the SDRAM space. The reaction of the memory chip industry, (either way), will be the next big story.
