I've posted this before but to keep my mind off Edwarda I'll do it again for you Texicans. My great great grandfather funded a platoon to fight in the Mexican War. Headed by sgt. Gill. Out of the heart of Illinois. That platoon stole Santa Anna's wooden leg and ate his chicken dinner. Santa Anna's leg is in Atlanta, Illinois. My gg grandfather was given a farm by presidents Polk and Tylor for his contribution. That's the farm I own. Still have the original deeds signed by the presidents.
