<<Are my needs what I define my needs as?>> No. Haven't you ever been abolutely convinced that if you don't get the thing "you think" you need, your life wont be worth living. Most teens and many adults struggle with this constantly. I have often lived through a disappointment only to realize far greater benefits as a result of the change than I would have realized under the old circumstances.

<<How can both these needs be met simultaneously?>> First, these are wants. Wants are related to needs. For example, you may need food to keep from parishing. You want Watermellon and eating watermellon does fulfill the need to have nuroushment. Wants have the ability to be infected by corrupt desires, as in wanting something someone else has.
