Bob,
I too have started writing and aborted the message multiple times. I don't know if I can accurately convey what I am feeling, but I will try.

Quite simply put, Edwarda was a good person in both thought and action. Clearly she brought light into the lives that she touched on SI, but she did it in 3D as well. More than anything though, she looked for the good in people. And she found it. She found the good in people that I disliked immensely. And she helped me see things their way so that I could at the very least have an understanding from where they were coming from.

And she gave freely to help others. When I was involved with a charity event last year, she sponsored me for what can only be described as an extremely generous sum of money. And she and I had never actually met in 3D. But she trusted and liked me enough and wanted to help others enough to want to be a part of the effort.

As most of us would expect, the generosity of her kindness that we all experienced here on SI, carried over into 3D.

I have always had difficulty in talking about my life on SI as the "real world". Edwarda, knew that this place is as real as home. She always differentiated the two with "2D" and "3D". Her passing has driven the point home to me. This is the "real world", it is just 2D. But dammit it hurts in 3D.
