You responded to Julius but I'll jump in here. Julius's calls on the strength of selects are better than others. I believe it is true that it is more important to be in the right sector than in the right stock. A great stock like, for instance, Pfizer, can be in a sinking sector (pharmas last) and go nowhere. It is just like the Value Line timeliness rating. If your stock is not in a favored (or strong) sector, you are swimming against the tide.

Most small investors like us hate to lose money so will hold on to a crummy investment or a good stock in a poor sector for too long and will sell a great stock or even a so-so stock in the top sector too soon. That's why the common advice is to invest in the index funds. Probably works best for most. We have Julius however. As usual, thanks. Sharon
