El, assuming that Friday's move up was option related,
and that is a pretty safe assumption, what's usually
expected on Mondays following the option expiration is
just what happened. The manipulations to "unwind" on
Monday what speculators had to go thru to "guide" the
Friday close UP to 27 1/2 actually SHOULD put a downward
pressure on the stock on Monday (and vice-versa, if they
were to manipulate the price DOWN on Friday...)

I read this somewhere with a pretty good explanation of
the sequence of operations required to "play it" thus...

So we should actually be happy that the downward pressure
was not worse.
