earlie, been shopping for a couple refurbed notebooks for the mrs and a friend. i've been watching some gtw's go for about $800 for three weeks or so until some morons bid them up to $1250 out of the blue (what is that about fools and their money? ;-). anyway, i haven't gotten my price point yet... but i will ;-) i began looking at refurbed desktops b/c my friend may get my oold destop instead. i'vwe noticed 2 things: 1. for about $600 you get a 500+ processor, 128 mb dram, dvd, cd-rw, 8 mb video ram - a LOT of features! 2. hewlett packard's service is being raked through hot coals. people hate hp. REALLY, they do. i'm scared to pick one up since their lack of service appears to be beyond reproach. what a FALL from grace, huh... can't say i'm into cpq much more... i'll have to keep shopping... for now...
