umbro... 1. laptops have dropped drastically in price. 2. there is corporate ego. 3. folks need to work at home. 4. corporate leaders are technologically ignorant and believe the hype. they have been spoon fed by somebody that the extra $$$ spent on laptops has a payback. ho ho ho ho! fwiw, my company offered free cell phones to exempt employees. all the rookies salivated and got one. i didn't apply ;-) i don't want a pager, either ;-)
