AS,

Gilder likes G* too, though he always hedges by saying "great company, iffy stock" or words to that effect. How about a friendly bet that G* outperforms LOR from now until Xmas? Obviously they will be highly correlated.

I dipped my toe in some HIFN today on hopes of a breakout. I like the area they are in, they make semiconductor devices that enable secure, high-bandwidth network connectivity and efficient storage of business information. CSCO, LU and Nortel are big customers, and they are growing their business rapidly in Japan. Financials look solid, $8 in cash and a P/E under 40. Anyone have an opinion on HIFN?

Also bought (actually added) some LDP here based on valuation, check out their financials. They own a ton of NUFO and a lot of VTSS. I think their core bond business suffered when rates went up, and obviously internet incubators haven't done well lately either. With interest rates easing and the market perking up hopefully LDP can get enough traction to run to 20. Their management seems awful smart to me. I know xcr used to like LDP, you still following it xcr?
