Dave, Wouldn't the question be the same regardless of where the companies were located? Why is their location important? Because of the ITC. This is a US government organization, and it is an election year. ;^)) It would be great publicity for the administration to nail a Japanese company or two, don't you think? What if SGI decides to quit doing graphics and set up a patent holding company to collect massive royalties from every graphics manufacturer, for the numerous patents that are being infringed upon in every design? There is no good way around several of their more general patents. The world could get pretty weird. Scumbria
