TC ain't asleep. Today's news and rise:
(It's been a while... Nice swing of 9% upwards today, now rising to 16,400. Badly beaten up -- forgot to take profits --, I remain confident in Trans Cosmos: profitable, wide-ranging, riding the net waves on a fast board.)

Trans Cosmos Sets Up Unit
Marketing Real Estate Via Web

TOKYO (Nikkei)--Trans Cosmos Inc. (9715) has set up a
new subsidiary that plans in October to start an
Internet-based marketing business for housing and other
real estate.

Initially, the unit will work with about 40 real estate
companies to provide prospective buyers with free
information on available houses and rental
condominiums. The company will also provide real
estate brokers with a database regarding the types of
properties for which buyers are looking.

The company plans to use its reputation in the
outsourcing market to advance into the rapidly
expanding e-commerce business in the real estate
market.

The new unit, capitalized at 50 million yen, plans to offer
information from 600 real estate offices in the Tokyo and
Osaka areas. The information will be available to
prospective buyers through the company's Web site, by
e-mail or by mobile telephone.

The site will offer a variety of information, including
financial consulting and descriptions of nearby shopping
areas, complete with photographs and maps.

The company expects first-year revenues of 110 million
yen from advertising and commissions.
