To improve overall system performance, the Intel 815 chipset supports the 133MHz front side bus as well the 133MHz memory bus. For data-intensive business applications such as extensive spreadsheet computations, graphic design, CAD and database management, the new Intel chipset greatly accelerates system and memory bus speeds as well as data transfer rates. The E-3400 features a range of Intel Pentium© III processors including 667MHz, 733MHz, 800MHz, 866Mhz and 933MHz.

The E-3400's 815 chipset also features integrated graphics support along with advanced graphics technology options. Gateway extends the E-3400's graphics capabilities by bundling a choice of high-performance ATI RAGE(TM) graphics cards supporting the 2X and 4X AGP standards.

The system comes standard with 128MB of high-speed 133MHz SDRAM memory and is expandable to 512MB of total system memory. Storage options include 7.5GB and 15GB ATA66 drives as well as ultra-fast 7200RPM ATA66 20GB to 30GB hard drives.
