Is this a symptom that the inertia associated with the largest installed base will continue to make things difficult for our QCOM?

This morning the Houston Chronicle reports that AT&T wireless has purchased Primco. This will force the 1.5 MM Primeco customers to replace their cdma phones with TDMA phones over the next year to enjoy the benefits of AT&T's nationwide network.

The article continues to describe the difference between the 2 technologies and reports that TDMA while of a similar quality but incompatible with the digital cdma technology. TDMA will support 4 callers on the same frequency, while cdma will support 9 or 10.
