NEW SKY COMMUNICATIONS, INC. (OTC BB:NSKY) announced today that it has concluded a deal with Lions Gate Films for the video release, later this year, of its feature film "FREAK TALKS ABOUT SEX." New Sky also announced the closure of several deals, at the recently concluded Cannes Film Festival, for distribution of the film in various foreign markets. Carl R. Reynolds, President of New Sky Communications, said that, "We are very pleased to have concluded a deal for distribution of "FREAK" in the domestic video market and to have begun sales in foreign markets. We expect additional foreign sales of the film in the near future. "FREAK TALKS ABOUT SEX" is a comedy starring Steve Zahn, whose previous films include "THAT THING YOU DO," "OUT OF SIGHT," "YOU'VE GOT MAIL" and "HAPPY TEXAS" and Josh Hamilton, who most recently starred in the NBC mini-series "THE 60's." New Sky executive produced the film for Owasco Entertainment. New Sky also announced the filing of registration documents for a public offering by its production partner, Bellacasa Productions, Inc., for the financing of its feature film "THE GIANT." The film examines artistic inspiration and the political turmoil surrounding Michaelangelo's carving of the David. New Sky is entitled to a producer's fee and fifteen percent (15%) of Producer's profits from the film. New Sky also announced the commencement of pre-production on its feature film "THE GODMOTHER" and is on target for the start of principal photography of the film later this year. "THE GODMOTHER" is a comedy written in part by Joel and Ethan Coen, who won an academy award for "FARGO." New Sky has received letters of intent from Katherine Helmond ("Who's The Boss?") , Alex Rocco ("The Godfather II"; "Get Shorty"); and Max Casella ("Doogie Howser, M.D."; "Analyze This") to appear in the film.
