Well......I guess I should have looked earlier.....I just "assumed" WOW was missing the prev function -- It's not. Big as life So, I guess this discussion is academic. For everyone's info, here is the description:

prev(DataArray, reference number)

"This formula returns a Data Array of the Nth most recent value of the specified array where N is the reference number. Therefore, when N is 0 the most recent value of the Data Array is returned. When N is 1 the next to most recent value is returned......and so on.

"The prev() function is used for data which is not recorded daily such as Earnings per Share of Dividend data. It is ideal for functions where sparse data must be compared to daily data."

So, you can call up just the last data point, or any single data point in the past. This may provide a little more flexibility than the MS construction, if it doesn't have a reference capability.

I don't know about SC.

I hope the record, if not straight, is a little less crookeder.....
