Nuts. It will take years to get this back together.

Having lost everything I ever put together with respect to charting, I cannot just get back up in a day or two. Seems the old QChart workspaces don't lend themselves to Exporting to the new software, even though they both use QFeed.

I cannot even just run QCharts on one computer and type in all the chart parameters on the other, because you aren't supposed to run QFeed on two separate IPs at the same time.

So, I have to bring up QCharts on one machine, write down everything; then close the application and run the other software on the new machine and type everything in. I'm not even close.

Then, I have to accustom myself to Tradestation 2000i. All the systems I had before do not apply over there. The entire Experience is almost the same as starting from scratch. Further, while I'm doing this I haven't the time to update my databases so that's falling behind as well.

This could take a couple of weeks.

MEanwhile, the Gateway I took out of here to give to my wife as a replacement for the machine she destroyed isn't fully up as yet.......communication problems. Gateway isn't helping because there is a "non-Gateway" product involved.

I don't care for that concept, because when I purchase a machine very few parts in it are OEM from the manufacturer. This Dell, for example, has Rambus chips, Matrox Graphics, Harmon-Kardon speakers, a Soundblaster card....

Now, I had a problem with the Matrox card and they could not help me. Yet, they sold me the card. It was in the machine when it arrived.

Well, at least Dell suggested some things. Gateway wouldn't even provide the answer to a technical question....they could have done that; after all, I have a couple of their machines fer God's sake.

The final answer to all of this may be to dump QCharts and learn this new Tradestation completely. Then just stick with one problem.

But no, it appears I won't be trading soon.
