I am just joinin SI and as a Urologist I am amazed at the amount of
dis/misinformation that exists on Muse! A doctor turns his back
for a couple of minutes and all the kooks come out!!!!! Amazing!!
It will take a while for me to clear it but I hope to persuade you
that Muse is one of the greatest investments ever and at +/- $30a
share it is a steal considering that it has a PE of 15 with ayerly
growth athat is starting at a 100% and is accelerating towards>200%!!
It has a monopoly with zero competition at least for the next 3-4
years!!!Target price is $400 in 3 years?!
Where do we start? The competition: Zonnagen 1st. I was deeply disap
pointed by L.Benko's article in IBD on Zonnagen/Vasomax .It,s main
ingredient is phentolamine and she says it has been approved already
for treatment of hypertension. Yeah.30 yers ago! Call your Doc or
Pharmacist or read the PDR!You can buy Phentolamine right now at your
Drug store for 3-5 bucks probably for a 100 tabs!!! ( it 's been out
of patent for 20 years ) They may have to special order it though
because I don't think anybody carries it since THIS IS A DANGEROUS
KILLER DRUG. Currently it is only used in intensive care units to
artificially lower the blood pressure to <100 millim.of merc. in peo
ple with a failing heart ( with congestive heart failure ) in as much
as by lowering the blood pressure and arterial resistance makes it
easierfor the failing weak heart to pump blood out. Of course this is
dangerous (loering the blood pressure ) and so we simultaneously monit
or TWO blood pressures ,the arterial AND the venous through two
indwelling catheters that monitor every single heart beat. Of course
you can't get out of bed while this is happening not only because these
type of patients are usually moribund to bagin with but if they did
get up they would have orthostatic hypotesion ( "low BP on standing")
and croak right there.T he last time I used it was 20 years ago and
both patients died and that was the end of it for me. I haven't
( or anybody I know) used it since.Currently the only ther are only
two indications for it: One is in the temporary intraoperative control
of the sky high hypertension that occurs when we remove a RARE tumor
near the kidney called a Pheochromocytoma and the second indication
is to counteract (through its potent vasodilatory properties ) the
severe vasoconstrictionthat occurs when the vasocostrictive drug
Dopamine accidentally extrvasates durin IV infusion and can cause skin
skin necrosis and sloughig-off with gangrene ( get your lawyer ready
also at the same time ) . PDR (physician's desk reference ) clea
rly states that oral Phentolamine causes hypotension and as a result
of that ,aggravation of angina pectoris, acute myocardial infarction
sroke etc . To be continued
