I am assuming that RS is adjusted for splits so as to remain the same after split. Your other point, that RS number is meaningless, could very well be so if share prices are not normalized to begin with. It dawned on me that these don't require normalization if used only to compute PnF. Too bad, as more meaning could be derived in the manner indicated in my earlier post.
