I was told by those who know her personally that Carly is not technical, and not business oriented (I'm told she had a background in education). She is alleged to be a good "cheerleader," able to communicate well with investors and the media. You can only go so far with those abilities however. LU's problems have nothing to do with Carly's departure, and everything to do with poor earnings performance. Hopefully this past quarter, the one that ended June 15th, is everything that McGinn promised.
